Day 4 Make Your Own: Dishwasher Detergent
Since everyone seemed to like the last post about homeade laundry detergent, I thought I'd go one further and post about homeade dishwashing detergent. Save some dollars and cents here on your everyday detergents.

Day 2 Make Your Own: Laundry Detergent
Here's a recipe that comes with good recommendations from a friend of mine. It's a fairly easy recipe, and "costs just pennies," as my she would say. Going from an $11 box of detergent to one that costs just a penny; sign me up!

Survey Update: Opinion Outpost2
I've been doing surveys for a little while with Opinion Outpost. It's proved to be a legitimate website albeit you aren't making much. For a 20 minute survey, you can make between 10-20 points. Each point is worth 10 cents. From my experience, the "20 minute surveys" that I've taken really only took about 5 mins for me. It's basically making pennies, but if you're bored and have a few extra minutes, it's a pretty easy way to make the extra dough.

Day 1 Make Your Own: Baby Wipes
On White House, Black Shutters website, they have an awesome article on how to make your own baby wipes. I don't like to fuss if it looks like it will take too much effort, but these look really easy, and very inexpensive. Check it out here!

$6 a day groceries
Recently I posted about a few teachers who took the $1 daily grocery challenge. For most of us, that's probably an extreme, but how about $6 a day? On Lindsey's blog http://feedyourselfonsixdollarsaday.blogspot.com/search/label/groceries she discusses how she eats great meals on her $6 daily budget. Her blog comes complete with recipies and prices for her meals.

Article: "How to Eat on a Dollar a Day."
This is an article I found on small group of teachers who decided to take the challenge to eat on $1 per day or less. The article shares quite an intricate and surpisingly inspiring process as these young teachers work towards their goal. I'm tempted to consider something similar. Do you think you could eat on $1 a day? Check it out!

Guest Post: Free Ice Cream Cupcake at Marble Slab Creamery Stores on December 15 from 4 to 7 pm
(Today's post is a guest post by http://www.mybulgingwallet.blogspot.com/ If you want to submit to Creative Dough, please see my guest post page: http://creativecentsanddollars.blogspot.com/p/guest-posting.html)
In honor of national Cupcake Day, Marble Slab Creamery is offering free ice cream cupcakes on December 15, 2011 from 4 to 7 pm http://www.marbleslab.com/default.aspx This freebie is happening in the U.S., and also in Canada, although the Canadian freebie is limited only to the first 50 customers. I was browsing the ice cream cupcake selection on their website and they look delicious, although the sugar and calories may prove a bit too much for some people.
By the way, cupcakes seem to be making a comeback lately. I've noticed a lot of bakeries and ice cream shops have started serving up specialty cupcakes.

Another Way to Make the Dough: Paparazzi Jewlery Kits
Throw a Paparazzi Jewlery Party!
(Very inexpensive and cute jewlery)
I don't like to spend very much on jewlery, and that's why I've always enjoyed going to Paparazzi parties that my friends have thrown. I've gotten some VERY cute jewlery. However, this can also be a great supplimental income for those needing to make a few extra dollars.
IF you're serious about it.
Here's the link where you can pick up your first starter kit for $300. Most of the jewlery I've seen has sold for about $5 a piece which can make this a pretty easy selling point!
